A tour exploring several scales of intervention, from urbanism to detail. A comprehensive view guiding through public equipments, corporate offices, commerce and housing building of a new city.
“Parque das Nações” is the current designation of the former area of intervention of the World Expo 1998. This area became a center of cultural activities and a new neighborhood in the city. Its contemporary architecture, green space and the whole project of urban planning and urban renewal brought new momentum to the eastern area of Lisbon city in 1990, while it still was an industrial area.
“(…) The project that the Expo was the engine is not stopping. It is a vast project for urban recovery and regeneration, which will be forever linked to this event and it’s meaning, having a great demand for quality, wide view, rigor and transparency. “
